The Creativity Algorithm

Helping people and businesses have good ideas more regularly.

About

More than a few years ago, I came up with an idea for a first-aid device. It was easy to use and inexpensive for consumers.  My friends and family invested. I went through the process of getting a full patent. I talked to all of the big box stores and I contacted Shark Tank. I even got a callback from them.  I had dreams of millions. Well, the millions didn’t appear and I was frustrated.

I wasn’t frustrated at the fact I didn’t make much money.  I was frustrated at the fact that I couldn’t seem to have another good idea after that one.  I tried and tried.  Nothing.

Around that time, my career in psychology started gaining traction. I had research opportunities, speaking engagements, and a book deal.  So, I put my invention behind me and focused on helping people see how academic theories and psychological concepts can be applied in real life.

In focusing on teaching people psychology, the answer to why I couldn’t find my next good idea jumped into my mind like a puppy that wanted to play.  That answer became The Creativity Algorithm.
